The Maureen Clements Award is a judge's choice award presented on each Saturday and Sunday of a K9 Kapers trial to one dog and handler team. The award dates back to June 2013 and is named in honor of one of the founding Kapers club members, Maureen Clements, who passed away in December 2012. Maureen was a long time club member who ran her Keeshond dogs, Cubby, Chanti, and Damita. She had a strong bond with her dogs and trialed successfully across Canada.
